Effortless compliance, seamless selling. Ensure your products meet the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requirements with our automated, hassle-free solution.
Just answer a few simple questions and let us help you. GPSR compliance is crucial, don’t risk your EU sales!
The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) will replace the current General Product Safety Directive and the Food Imitating Product Directive on December 13, 2024. It modernizes the EU product safety framework to address challenges posed by digitalization and requires all consumer products in the EU market to be safe, establishing specific obligations for businesses to ensure compliance.
Marketplaces require compliance to list and sell products in the EU. Non-compliant listings risk removal.
If your products are made outside the EU, you must have an EU Responsible Person to legally sell them.
Private-label sellers must ensure their products meet GPSR safety, labeling, and documentation requirements.
Even if you’re not the manufacturer, you’re responsible for ensuring the products you distribute comply with GPSR regulations.
Avoid risks and sell with confidence—our solution makes GPSR compliance effortless.
Our system scans your listings, gathers all required GPSR data, and seamlessly integrates validated information into your eBay listings—so you stay compliant with minimal effort.
We automatically identify the existing official EU Responsible Person for your products. If you need one, we can act as your designated EU Responsible Person, ensuring full compliance with EU regulations.
Get your product documentation professionally translated into all 24 official EU languages, eliminating language barriers and compliance risks.
Generate and download precise, regulation-compliant product labels tailored to your listings, ensuring your items meet EU safety standards.
The GPSR applies to all non-food consumer products sold in the EU that are not already covered by specific EU directives or regulations. This includes both offline and online sales, as well as new and second-hand products. Examples of product categories that are not subject to the GPSR include Medical Devices, Food and Food Products, Pharmaceuticals, and Antiques.
Information needs to be provided on labels (manufacturer’s identification, product identification, product safety disclosures and hazardous materials labelling, and EU Responsible Person identification), product documentation (technical documentation and the Declaration of Conformity, if applicable), and online listing requirements. See Requirements for GPSR compliance for more information.
Webinterpret gathers and suggests GPSR data for your products when it’s available within our database. If GPSR data is already available on your domestic listings, Webinterpret will copy and translate your GPSR documentation to your international Webinterpret listings. In the event that GPSR data is not available for your products, you will need to provide us with the remaining information and data that is required for full compliance.
Once you have reviewed, edited, and validated Webinterpret’s GPSR data suggestions, your domestic and international listings will be updated with this information within 24 hours.
GPSR compliant information needs to be included on your physical items or on their packaging when shipped to the EU. Product documentation and labels must be translated into the destination country’s EU language.
Webinterpret retrieves the GPSR data for your items directly from our database which is built using a combination of privately owned and publicly available data sources.
Webinterpret can be appointed as your Responsible Person within the EU, provided that your products comply with the GPSR regulation, are vetted by our team, and follow Webinterpret’s Terms of Use.
